Challenger

The Howling winds constantly try to tear you down,
But you challenge them.
The cold tries to grasp your body,
but you defy him.
The sun hides its warmth from you.
But you wait for her return.
The snow withholds your food,
but you power through.
The four legged ghosts haunt your children,
but you ward them off.
You survive where many have fallen,
And break the laws of life.

Math Homework

Alright y'all, this is how you do your math homework.
Take a look at the problem and try to figure it out.  Do it how you think that it should be done and that is good enough.  I can't stand this crap, I tain't never gonna use this crap a day in my life, and if I do, Well then that just sucks cause I don't know how.

Jealousy

Small things go unnoticed,
Such as you.
Don't worry though,
I have seen and thought about you.
Your sweet music is a comfort when I am down.
You move through the air with such ease.
I have a small pocket of jealousy,
For one to have such freedom as you.
Go where you want and not have to worry about being late,
Very few in this world have that opportunnity.
I envy and despise you for you mock me.
My chains of life weigh me down,
So that I don't float off on the breeze of freedom.

Majestic and Respectable

I have been watching you for a while now.
I have discovered the definition of majestic.
It is you.
In all your rugged beauty,
The way you rule with unchallenged reign.
Eyes of rustic splendor,
That watch over the wary struggling soul.
I have learned respect,
Respect for my suroundings.
Not one leaf or blade of grass shall go unnoticed.
You have my gratitude and thanks,
For all your many teachings.

King of knowledge

             King of Knowledge

The crisp morning air crackles with your movement,
Frozen breath marks where you once where.
The trees are mirrors, mirrors of sound reflecting your eerie cry
Through the forest for all to hear.
You wander alone,
An old wise monarch.
You move on and I wait,
I wait for you to pass this way again,
To catch one last glimpse of the one who taught me.
You are king, King of knowledge.

Thanks to Sally J. Skinny Love for the idea.

My Dog

My dog's name is Dodge, which sounds a lot like dog.  He is a brittany spaniel.  He is a big brittany spaniel.  he is white with orange blobs.  He has really long legs.  He is lots bigger than the brittany down the street.  He likes to eat elk meat.  He is full of energy and loves to run.  ( yes I sound like a five year old)

New Things

I am going to the speak for yourself poetry thing in a few minutes.  I have never been to one of these before.  I am kind of excited to go.  It is kind of a bummer though when the girl you asked to go with you was busy and can't go.  But you know what, that doesn't matter because I am going anyway.  I hope it is as good as I am hoping it will be.  Hope to see you there!

Remember, Oh emember

I remember my first deer.  I remember how the deer stopped between two trees and I squeezed the arrow through.  I remember my first elk.  I remember how after my first shot my gun wouldn't shoot again because I forgot to put a new shell in the chamber.  I remember my second grade teacher and how I used to draw her lots of pictures.  I remember how in elementary school, it always seemed like I was in the principals office.  I remember seventh grade football.  I was tight end and my coach only let me run out for a pass once and I wasn't thrown to.  I remember how as outside line backer I sacked the quarter back and caused hum to fumble, Kirtus Trevort picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown.  I remember that I am somehow related to him.  I remember how I failed seventh and eighth grade because I read all through class.  I remember how I used to play football with my brother, and how he would always win and hurt me.  I remember a long time ago we used to share a room.  I remember when Kaden Shepard moved to Alpine, he used to be my best friend.  i remember how in second grade I would play football with the sixth graders, and I was good.  I always thought of my self as a mini Jerri Rice.  I remember being kicker.  I still miss it.  I remember how I totally botched my first kickoff practice.  I remember how coach Nichols got mad at me because we were wasting AF.  I remember the pain I was in two days ago when playing basketball someone poked my eye and actually cut my eye ball.  I remember how earlier today I almost got my jaw dislocated playing basketball.
